  Viva Las Vegas Hell Week
Planned for 15-22 May 2008 (8 riders needed for tour to make).

I love the desert. I love Las Vegas (who doesn’t?). And, I love to ride bikes. So, why not ride across the desert, from casino to casino?

Originally launched in 2000, and then run again in 2005, this journey features an incredible array of terrain and climate. The tour is run in May, and features a figure 8 route in and out of Las Vegas.

The first half of the journey takes us northeast to Mesquite, and into portions of Arizona and Utah. We return to Las Vegas on night 4, and then pedal northwest into the desert again, this time stopping in Amargosa, and then down to Baker CA, before returning to Vegas.

We stay in casinos most of the 9 nights (UT and CA don’t have casinos, so we’ll have to settle for more traditional fare). Most of the casinos feature all-you-can-eat buffets that will allow us to refuel the way we need to.

All you have to do is ride, and buy your evening meal.

We do the rest. We provide detailed cue sheets and maps for the entire journey, baggage shuttle, accommodations, home-cooked breakfasts and lunches, and two rest stops each day with food and beverages. You get a couple of cool shirts, as well as our leadership and experience. Your supply the gambling money.

All registrations are assumed to be single occupancy, unless you provide a room partner (in which case the fee goes down considerably). The basic fees are $1429 single and $1159 double, with a late fee of $100 for late registrations (after 20 April).

Half-tour options are also available. Please call or email for more information.

We limit the tour size to 25 riders, in order that we may provide the level of personalized attention that we ourselves would want. Register early!

May is a great time to ride in the desert. The intense summer heat is still a few weeks off, and the higher elevation temps we experience in UT are more temperate. The stark desert scenery, the Joshua trees, and the ever-changing terrain combine to make this a cycling treat you will remember for many years to come. Be sure to sign up early!
