We currently have eight long rides on our Cheese Country roster. Each of these have detailed cue sheets and maps, as well as one or more short-cut options. In future years we will be adding "B" and "C" rides to the collection. Routes that we have on file include the following:
"A" Rides:
A1: Take Me To The River 103.0 miles
A2: The Dodgeville Dare 117.9 miles
A3: This Route Has No Name 115.6 miles
A4: The Amish Bakery 119.0 miles
A5: The Figure 8 Route 112.7 miles
A6: Very Viroqua 99.7 miles
A7: Breakfast in Spring Green 98.6 miles
A8: Hyde and Seek 97.5 milesOur "b" and "c" routes are derived from the "A" routes, and are indicated on the cue sheets and maps. You should plan on 7500-8500 feet of climbing per 100 miles (although you might find one or two deviations from this norm).
Most riders find that a 39 X 25 or 39 X 27 low gear is sufficient in most cases, but a lower gear may come in handy on some of the climbs. Road conditions are generally very good.
